Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants List 2015

News out of Mexico today … Latin America’s Best restaurants for 2015 announced as voted by over 250 independent restaurant experts from across Latin America. The awards are sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna. Media Release

 

  • Peruvian restaurant Central (husband and wife partners Virgilio Martínez and Pía León) holds onto #1 position as the Best Restaurant in Latin America
  • Boragó from Chile, Astrid y Gastón from Peru and D.O.M. from Brazil round out the top 4
  • Lasai from Rio de Janeiro wins the Highest New Entry Award
  • Chilean chef Rodolfo Guzmán picks up the Chefs’ Choice Award
  • Astrid Gutsche wins the award for Latin America’s Best Pastry Chef
  • Argentine restaurant i Latina wins the One To Watch award

Whilst PERU has three of the Top 5 best restaurants, the top ranked countries with the highest number of Best Restaurants in the list are MEXICO and ARGENTINA (10 best restaurants each).
