Welcome to Foodie Mookie.
Foodie Mookie is dedicated to all things food, from amazing chefs to brilliant dishes at home, if you can skin it, cook it, plate it and eat it, we want to share. Headed up by a food writer, Mookie and her merry band of food bloggers, this site is all about an unrelenting quest to seek the best of the best, new and tantalising food combinations as well as discover the new, reinvigorated and up and coming chefs and restaurants no matter where in the world.
Foodie Mookie visits restaurants anonymously and pays for the bill. If we are invited and the meal is paid for, we will disclose and do not let it influence our opinions. We own our opinion and always write from the heart. Our promise is to write positively and highlight the best aspects of the dining experience. If we think a restaurant or dish is not up to scratch we will contact the restaurant privately to let them know so they can improve without the scare of a negative online post. There is no sense in being a nasty anonymous writer when all of us have a bad day sometimes.
The Foodie Mookie crew have no barriers or food restrictions and will eat anything from Sichuan intestines, deep fried spiders to blood sausage, raw kelp, lambs brains, exquisite squid. To us, it is all an exciting food experience that we want to share with everyone. This quest to experience the best food (and wine!) is paired with a few special guests including our Wine writer, the ever-austere Pookie.
